What you can make with AI Song Maker

Four music models behind one simple form, so you choose the sound and the length for each song.

  • 01

    Full songs with real structure

Lyria 3 Pro builds an intro, verses, a chorus and a bridge into one track of up to about three minutes, with vocals that follow the mood you describe.

  • 02

    Your lyrics or the model's

Paste lyrics marked with [Verse], [Chorus] and [Bridge] and the model sings them. Leave the box empty and it writes words that fit your description.

  • 03

    Vocals or instrumental

Describe the singer by range, tone and delivery, such as breathy alto or gritty baritone, or pick the instrumental model for music with no vocals at all.

  • 04

Short clips for hooks and jingles

Lyria 3 makes 30-second clips for 10 credits instead of 20: right for intros, jingles and testing a prompt before the full song.

  • 05

    A price before you press

Every model has one flat price per song, shown before you generate. Songs that fail are refunded to your balance automatically.

  • 06

    MP3s you keep

Every finished song plays in the page and downloads as an MP3, and stays in your history so you can come back to it.

How to make a song with AI

  1. 01

    Describe the song

Name the genre and era, the mood, the instruments, the voice and what the song is about. One or two sentences are enough.

  2. 02

Add lyrics and pick a model

Paste your lyrics or leave them to the model. Choose Lyria 3 Pro for a full song, Lyria 3 for a 30-second clip, or the instrumental model for no vocals.

  3. 03

    Listen and download

The song is made in the background and appears in your history. Play it, download the MP3, or change one detail and try again.

What is an AI song maker?

An AI song maker, also called a song maker AI or music maker AI, composes, arranges and sings a new song from a written description. Instead of recording instruments and vocals, you describe what you want to hear, and a music model generates the finished audio: melody, harmony, rhythm, production and voice in one pass.

AI Song Maker runs four of these models for you in the browser: Google's Lyria 3 Pro and Lyria 3, ElevenLabs Music, and MiniMax Music for instrumentals. There is nothing to install, no studio or microphone to set up, and no music theory to learn first.

It is a generator, not a full studio: you get one mixed MP3, not separate stems or a multitrack project. To cut, fade or master a song, open the MP3 in any audio editor.

Which model should you choose?

Each model makes a different kind of track:

  • Lyria 3 Pro (20 credits): full songs of up to about 3 minutes with verses, choruses and bridges. The default for finished songs.
  • Lyria 3 (10 credits): 30-second clips with vocals, for hooks, jingles, intros and testing a prompt cheaply.
  • ElevenLabs Music (120 credits): 60-second tracks with vocals or instrumental, with a different sound from Lyria.
  • Instrumental, MiniMax Music (10 credits): music that never has vocals, for videos, podcasts, games and study playlists.

How to describe a song the model understands

Music models respond best to the words musicians use. Cover these, and leave out anything you do not care about:

  • Genre and era: 90s boom bap, modern country pop, 70s disco, synthwave
  • Mood and energy: wistful, triumphant, playful, slow-burning
  • Tempo: slow, mid-tempo, or a number such as 92 BPM
  • Instruments: fingerpicked acoustic guitar, 808 bass, string quartet, brass stabs
  • Vocals: female or male, range and texture such as smoky alto or bright tenor, a duet or a choir
  • Topic and story: who is singing, to whom, and what happens

Writing lyrics the model can sing

Put each part's tag on its own line, such as [Verse], [Pre-Chorus], [Chorus], [Bridge] or [Outro], and keep lines short enough to sing in one breath. Repeat the chorus word for word where you want it to return; that repetition is what makes a song stick.

Match the lyrics to the length. A 30-second Lyria 3 clip has room for a verse or a chorus, not a whole song. A Lyria 3 Pro song of up to about three minutes fits two verses, a repeated chorus and a bridge. The description and lyrics together can be up to 3,000 characters.

Rights, safety and watermarks

Every song here is newly generated, not a cover or a voice clone. Describe a style by genre, era and instrumentation rather than asking for a named artist's voice, and only paste lyrics you wrote or have the right to use. Google's Lyria models block requests for specific artist voices and for copyrighted lyrics; a blocked song fails and its credits are refunded.

Lyria 3 and Lyria 3 Pro add SynthID, Google's inaudible watermark, to every track so it can be identified as AI-generated. You may use your songs in personal and commercial projects under our terms and the model providers' terms, and we do not claim ownership of them. We cannot promise that an AI-generated song can be registered for copyright: the US Copyright Office's January 2025 report says prompts alone do not make you the author of AI output, while lyrics you wrote yourself remain your own work.

AI song maker FAQ

Is AI Song Maker free?

You can start with it as a free song maker: new accounts get two free Lyria 3 Pro songs (40 credits). After that, songs are paid with credits from a monthly plan or a one-time pack starting at $4.99. It is not unlimited, because every song takes real computing power, and each song's price is shown before you make it.

How long are the songs?

Lyria 3 Pro makes songs of up to about three minutes, Lyria 3 makes 30-second clips and ElevenLabs Music makes 60-second tracks. The instrumental model sets the length of each track itself. Within those limits, the model shapes the song to your description and lyrics.

Can I use my own lyrics?

Yes. Paste them in the lyrics box with tags such as [Verse], [Chorus] and [Bridge] on their own lines, and the singing models perform them. Leave the box empty and the model writes lyrics from your description. The instrumental model takes no lyrics.

Can I use the songs commercially?

You may use your songs in personal and commercial projects, such as videos, podcasts, ads and games, under our terms and the model providers' terms. We do not claim ownership of your songs. Whether an AI-generated song can be registered for copyright depends on your country and on how much of it you created yourself.

Can it sing in the voice of a famous artist?

No. Songs are generated, not covers or voice clones. Describe the style by genre, era, instruments and vocal texture instead of naming an artist. Google's Lyria models block requests for specific artist voices and copyrighted lyrics, and a blocked song is refunded.

Which languages can the songs be sung in?

Google lists English, German, Spanish, French, Hindi, Japanese, Korean and Portuguese for Lyria 3 and Lyria 3 Pro. ElevenLabs describes its music model as multilingual, including English, Spanish, German and Japanese. Other languages may work but are not guaranteed.

Can people tell the song was made with AI?

Lyria 3 and Lyria 3 Pro tracks carry SynthID, an inaudible watermark Google adds so its AI-generated audio can be identified. It does not change how the song sounds. Be open about AI use where a platform, client or contest asks for it.
